A Card to Remember: Mia’s Papa Has Alzheimer’s

Mia and her Papa are back in this touching short story that captures the love of a granddaughter and her grandfather.  Papa has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and Mia thinks her card will make him remember.  Oh no!  Did she not understand what her parents told her?  It would take more than a card to bring back who Papa was before!

You saw their relationship in Cat’s earlier work, see it again here, and be with Mia on her quest to get Papa to remember.

A SWEET TWIST THAT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE

From the Author

Hello!  My name is Cat Blount. I am the author of several children’s titles that all have some type of message to share.  The message in A Card to Remember: Mia’s Papa Has Alzheimer’s is such a special story.  I hope it aids in helping you and your family cherish the time you have with your loved one.  My dear daddy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s quite some time ago. This hurts me deeply.  So deeply that I literally have to pretend that it is not true at all.  The reality of it, for me, is much too much to bear.  What I have realized, however, is that my dad is still my dad.  He may not say, or think, or do all of what he used to, but he is still here.  Sure, he can’t play golf like a pro, but why not give him a golf club anyway, a ball, and an open field.  He may not get it in the hole, but he may really like being out there!  Please don’t forget to be in their presence, doing things that they are able to do now.  You never know what may happen.

THIS TITLE WILL BE COMING HOME SOON.
